My name is Daan Keijzer. From a young age, I have always made many things out of wood. What once started as a hobby has grown into professional woodworking through my work as an interior builder and the completion of many projects. As soon as I start a new project, it never lets me go. My passion lies in the entire process: from carefully planning each individual component to actually bringing that idea to life in the wood.

The ultimate challenge in wood.
I was looking for a project with significantly more of a challenge than the objects often made by woodworkers. Soon, the idea emerged to create a completely wooden racing bicycle. A unique work of art that can eventually find a beautiful place in a museum or in an enthusiast's home. The real challenge lies in the process: the entire bicycle is made generally with small eletric hand tools. Every detail and every part must correspond exactly to a real racing bicycle. Think of parts such as the ratchet, spokes of only 2.4 mm, and a completely wooden chain.

The Spark of Creation
I am constantly driven by projects that challenge my skills. Every now and then, an idea strikes that instantly makes me think, "This is it." Once that spark ignites, my mind goes into overdrive. Before I know it, a new piece has taken shape in my workshop, and I simply cannot let it go until the final coat of finish is applied.
